Our Vision - Live, Learn, Grow and Be Thankful: Colossians 2
‘Continue to live our lives in God, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught and overflowing with thankfulness'.
Our Mission Statement - Our aspiration is that all children should develop intellectually, creatively, physically, spiritually and morally to become highly motivated, confident and independent learners, achieving high standards in all areas of the curriculum with well-developed social skills and respect for others.
As a church school at the heart of the local community, our Christian Vision underpins our work and is fundamental to our relationships and our commitment to ensure equality for all pupils.
We aim to reach each child’s potential in a safe, happy and caring learning environment with an atmosphere of support, challenge and encouragement within a wide ranging curriculum.
The children greatly enjoyed the Long Whatton Santa run today! We were really impressed with amazing stamina from both children and parents. Thank you to all who attended. A huge well done everyone!
The Owls have been using paints to create tints, shades and tones. They have also been busy painting some lovely winter scenes for their Christmas cards.
Robins have been learning about what is a healthy balanced diet. They designed and made their own pies, they showed ‘thinking for myself’ by trying to include as many food groups as possible. All that’s left is to evaluate them! 🥮🍽🥮🍽

Some of the children represented Long Whatton at Prestwold x-country on the weekend. They all ran brilliantly and made us proud.
The children have been really enjoying helping to retell bible stories from the Old Testament. Last week they retold the bible story of David and Goliath and yesterday Daniel and the lions den.
The children from Long Whatton really enjoyed visiting Harlow’s last Friday to learn more about road safety. Alan announced the Road Safety competition winners and the children were very grateful for their prizes and their cakes.
The Owls had a festive afternoon at forest school, working together to create Christmas wreaths 🌲
