Clubs and Groups

We are really proud of the variety of clubs we are able to offer the children as this is not always easy to do in a smaller school.
Breakfast Club-  Every Morning, Monday to Friday, throughout the school year. 7:45am to 8:45am
We also offer a small, successful breakfast club which helps the children make a healthy start to the day from 7.45 am each morning. This is also run by Premier Sports and is charged on a sliding scale, depending upon regular use. In the club the Children have the opportunity to have breakfast, with the option of cereal or toast and a drink. The children then engage in some sports and games to get them ready for the day ahead!

After School Clubs

After school clubs not only provide busy parents with an hour of after school care, but more importantly often offer opportunities for children to try something new.

In the past we have run archery workshops, a rambling club for the youngest children, a gardening club, art, craft and cross stitch clubs, Forest School Clubs, dodgeball and dancing clubs, a dungeons and dragons club, along with the more usual sports you find in school.

After school clubs usually run from 3.30 until 4.30 (occasionally 4.15) at which time children are handed over to parents by the organiser. Some of our clubs are run by staff in their own time, for which there is usually no charge, and also by Premier Sports, for which there is a small weekly charge.

Clubs running in January 2019 in Spring 1 will be:
Monday Football
Tuesday Multi-sports
Wednesday Street dance
Thursday Cooking Club
Little Farmers
Alternatively if you need further before or after school child care then 'Little Farmers' (based at our local farm) is run by a qualified teacher and our governor, Amy. The club allows children to learn and access the countryside through fun and engaging activities. They run range of activities, including cookery, craft and farming!

Child Minding Service
We also have a parent who runs a child minding service every day to and from school, Monday to Thursday till 5.45 and Friday until 4.15. She can offer an evening meal for those who stay later. She is OFSTED registered, paediatric first aid trained and trained in safeguarding.
It’s a home environment and children regularly do crafts and cooking after school and usually follow a theme around what’s going on like Chinese New Year, Christmas, Easter etc. She has a large garden they spend time playing in. She also takes them to the base at the church every Tuesday which they all love!
